SkyRide in Leicester

Canal and Railway Ride - 31st July:  http://www.goskyride.com/Search/Details?eventid=1310
These Skyrides look great, but there are none in Nottingham unfortunately
The area's hosting a range of activities including Sky Ride Local rides and bike maintenance workshops to help you keep your wheels in great shape. And look out for Breeze bike rides – fun, social, informal bike rides for women, coming to a park or cycle path near you!

Main Event: Leicester is part of the Sky Ride campaign, aiming to get one million more people riding a bike by 2013. Sky Ride Leicester, a mass participation, traffic-free bike ride, takes place on 28th August – don't miss it – see details below!

We’re giving you the unique opportunity to ride your bike through the city's streets without a car in sight. It’s free and easy to register and anyone can get involved, no matter how wobbly you might be on a bike!

New Critical Mass in Nottingham (Cycling)

Seen on Facebook last week: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=233720509994966
Victoria Centre Clock Tower - Friday, July 29 · 5:30pm - 8:30pm

Critical Mass is a monthly bicycle ride to celebrate cycling and to assert cyclists' right to the road. The idea started in San Francisco in September 1992 and quickly spread to cities all over the world. It is typically held on the last Friday of every month in over 300 cities
The purpose of Critical Mass is not usually formalized beyond the action of meeting at a set location and time and traveling as a group through city or town streets on bikes.
